Well, both of the phones you want to get are GSM phones so you have two choices: AT&T or T-Mobile. While you can use the Nokia n97 on either network, the g1 is a T-Mobile phone, so I would recommend going with T-Mobile. I personally don't know if you can get a plan with just 100-200 minuets a month from them, and even though you want to get a contract with them, you may want to see how their prepaid service would work for you. You would have to pay the entire cost of the g1 up front, but if you really don't talk that much, it would be a waste to 450 minuets in it.
